Visit to Cracow Institute of Technology
eCOLAB 4.0 students visit Cracow University of Technology’s advanced manufacturing labs
A unique opportunity to experience non-conventional and additive manufacturing technologies first-hand.
As part of the course “Advanced Non-Conventional and Additive Manufacturing Processes”, eCOLAB 4.0 Erasmus+ students visited the laboratories of Cracow University of Technology (CUT), one of the project’s key partners.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe and discuss a wide range of cutting-edge manufacturing and measurement technologies:
- Selective Laser Melting (SLM)
- Binder Jetting
- Laser cutting of diamond
- Micro EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining)
- Laser welding
- High-temperature studies of wetting and spreading kinetics of liquid metals and alloys
The experience allowed students to bridge theoretical knowledge with real research practice, engaging directly with researchers and equipment at the forefront of the field.
Visits like this reflect the spirit of the eCOLAB 4.0 project: fostering international collaboration and providing students with access to world-class facilities across Europe.
