During the eCOLAB 4.0 (Erasmus+) Kick-off Meeting in Ávila, Enrique González from the Grupo de investigación TIDOP of the Universidad de Salamanca imparted an interesting workshop on reverse engineering with the Artec Eva and Space Spider 3D scanners for the design and improvement of sustainable products, the reuse of materials, and the optimization of processes in ecological industries.

During the workshop, it was explored how reverse engineering allows optimizing designs and replicating parts through 3D scanning and modeling in parametric software such as SolidWorks. The theoretical fundamentals were addressed, from data capture to integration with CAD, complemented by a live practical demonstration.
